A timeless opera in three acts, considered by far and away one of the composer’s most musically adventurous. Giacomo Puccini decided to set the story of Turandot to music in 1920, but Puccini’s original score remained unfinished due to his untimely death. It was subsequently completed by Neapolitan composer Franco Alfano. The version scheduled to be staged at San Carlo will be conducted by Jurai Valcuha and Maurizio Agostini. The opera is directed by Roberto De Simone. Stage settings by Teatro Petruzzelli, Bari.
