Luca Ronconi’s production of Falstaff, Giuseppe Verdi’s last work and one of the world’s favourite comic operas will be staged at the San Carlo Opera House based on an adaptation of the libretto by Arrigo Boito. Old, large and lecherous, Sir John Falstaff can’t resist the ladies. But they can resist him, and two of them plot to put an end to his advances once and for all. Conductor: Pinchas Steinberg. Staging by the San Carlo Theatre in co-production with the Petruzzelli Theatre in Bari and the Theatre Foundation of Maggio Musicale Fiorentino.
